How we handle personal data

We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The controller is the entity named in the imprint above.

What we collect

Contact requests. Name, work email, organisation and anything else you type into the demo or specialist form. Used only to answer you and to prepare the conversation you asked for.
Server logs. IP address, timestamp, requested page and browser type, recorded by our Swiss hosting provider for operation and security. Retained for a short period, then deleted.
Platform data. If your organisation uses vakna, we process the learner data described in section 04 on your instructions, as your processor.

Legal basis, hosting and retention

We rely on your consent when you contact us, and on our legitimate interest in operating a secure website. Data is hosted in Switzerland. Contact requests are kept for as long as the business relationship or the enquiry requires, then deleted.

Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We disclose it only to processors who help us operate the service under a written contract, and to authorities where we have a legal duty to do so. Where a processor is outside Switzerland or the EU, we use the transfer safeguards required by the FADP and the GDPR.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or a copy in a portable format, and you can object to processing or withdraw consent at any time. Write to privacy@vakna.ch. You also have the right to complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Bern, or to your local supervisory authority in the EU.

03 — Cookies

What this site stores in your browser

This website uses no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers and no analytics profiling. Only what is needed to serve the page and keep it secure.

Strictly necessary

Session and security cookies set when you use the platform login. They cannot be switched off without breaking the service, and require no consent.

Preferences

Your language choice, stored locally in your browser so the site opens in the language you picked.

Web fonts

Typefaces are requested from Google Fonts, which means your IP address reaches that service when the page loads. [Confirm before launch — self-hosting the fonts removes this entirely.]

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; parts of the platform may then stop working.

04 — Customer data processing

When your organisation uses the platform

Your organisation remains the controller of its learner data; vakna acts as processor and works only on your documented instructions. We process account details, training progress, completion records, phishing simulation results and support correspondence — hosted in Switzerland, separated per tenant, encrypted in transit and at rest.

A data processing agreement, the list of sub-processors, the deletion and export process at the end of the contract, and our security documentation are available on request from privacy@vakna.ch.

05 — Terms of use

Using this website

The content of this site is provided for information only and is not a binding offer. We prepare it with care but give no warranty that it is complete, accurate or current, and we may change it at any time.

All text, design, logos and other material on this site belong to vakna or its licensors. Reproduction beyond ordinary private use requires our written consent. Links to external sites are offered as a convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

Use of the platform itself is governed by the contract signed with your organisation. Swiss law applies; the ordinary courts at our registered office have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory places of jurisdiction.

06 — Reporting a vulnerability

Found something? Tell us

If you believe you have found a security issue in this website or in the platform, write to security@vakna.ch with enough detail to reproduce it. We acknowledge reports within two working days and will keep you informed while we fix the issue. Please give us reasonable time before disclosing publicly.

This page may be updated as the service or the law changes. The date of the current version is shown beside the contents list.
